Pretty-Present-Gift-Tags

Munching on holiday treats, I am already in the holiday spirit. Part of that also has to do with the making, receiving and photographing my christmas card collection and putting them in the shop. So even though it is still 2 months away, my head is already buzzing with images of hot chocolate, snowy sidewalks and presents under the tree with .... YES! cute personalized gift tags! Special ones, just for the holidays. Because even though I love unwrapping gifts (who doesn't?) I think I'm that weird person who loves wrapping them even more...

I used some of the designs of my christmas cards to make a set of 10 (5 different designs) gift tags, made just for the holidays. They will cheer up any present, small or big. And presents under a tree definitely need a name on it. Why not make it look nice? These lovely holiday themed gift cards are now available at Stoffer + Blik for only 1,95 (for a set of 10).

And while I was at it, I also made a set of 10 different gift tags for any other occasion: birthdays, just because, congratulations, thank you, with love and more! There are 10 different ones in a set. Also only 1,95. You can check them all out right here

Stoffer + Blik on BeBlissed.nl

Freelance journalist and mindstyle blogger Lieke Meertens is the founder of BeBlissed.nl. On this Dutch mindstyle blog she writes about psychology, spirituality, positive thinking, mindfulness and just overall bliss. An inspiring blog she started in May of 2012, that has become her 'life mission'.

A while ago Lieke noticed Stoffer + Blik. She contacted me to let me know she feels Stoffer + Blik fits in with the pure and natural way of living she promotes. So she wanted to introduce my handmade goodies to the readers of her blog. And that is exactly what she did. Stoffer + Blik is one of her October favorites (check out #4)!

Get your cook on!

This has been a great morning! I received an email that my printed cards were already on their way. Super fast! And then around 10 o'clock the doorbell rang. Nice and early, so I still had some time to sort everything out, photograph some things and get the recipe cards in the shop!

I also have all the other cards and they look great! I hope to get them all ready for sale at Stoffer + Blik on the weekend.

But for now it's only the recipe cards, but they are a personal favorite. I have been illustrating my ass off for the five recipes. The recipes are, all five of them, my absolute favorite! I make them all the time and I am very sure they will be your favorite too!

Four of them are completely vegetarian. One has chicken in it, but you can easily replace it with prawns or a vegetarian option. They are healthy and easy to make and of course: delicious! I usually cook for one, so I decided to write the recipes the way I make them. It's not easy to find one person recipes, so here they are. Of course they are easily multiplied to serve your friends and family.

I have some more recipes up my sleeve, so there might be a part II in the future. But for now: get your cook on! This set of 5 illustrated recipe cards is now available at Stoffer + Blik for 9,95.

And off they go!

I've been a little busy with the work that pays my bills.... But I have been working on Stoffer + Blik as well of course. Somewhere in between I have found the time to finish all the cards I was working on. And now they are off to the printer and will arrive here at my door in a couple of days.

First of all the mini christmas collection! I have a 5 different cards. One of them in different colors to make a set of 4. The second thing I was working on were the butterflies. There's 5 of them as well. Very colorful! And the third is the set of recipe cards. I will pay some more attention to them when they have arrived. But I can assure you, you really want to have them...They are my personal favorites and I have thoroughly tested them... delicious!

I'm freezing here, so this christmas card seems appropriate:

You like it? It will be in the Stoffer + Blik shop in about week!

Orange

It's Dutch, it's sunsets, it's Halloween, it's happiness, it's sacred and spiritual in Buddhism and Hinduism. It's Nemo and it's autumn. It's uplifting and extrovert: it's orange.

The crochet pot coasters at the bottom left are made by me and for sale at Stoffer + Blik.

Recipe cards

Remember the Pumpkin Risotto recipe I posted a short while ago? And remember I was making recipe cards? Ok, I don't blame you, but I was. And today I was drawing that pumpkin recipe. The annoying thing about it is that the first one I made was a while ago. Now the styles of the two don't really match. Annoying. The thickness of the lines is different and my handwriting and some other things. I might need to start over with the first one. I'm not sure. All I know is I shouldn't wait too long with the next one...

Anyway. It is supposed to become a little set of cards with my favorite, easy & delicious recipes. The ingredients are drawn on the front and the instructions are on the back. I think that would make a great gift for yourself or your friends or family. Don't you think?

They must be ready before I get my christmas cards printed. I hope I can show you the complete set soon.

Balls & Bears

The leaves are barely turning red and I am already thinking about christmas. Last week I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about christmas cards. Designs & ideas were invading my brain, while I was trying to sleep. Going back to sleep while you are thinking 'I need to remember this is in the morning' never works.

Cursing my brain for coming up with these things in the middle of the night, I sat up and turned on the lights. I always have pen and paper next to my bed, for situations like this. No need to leave my warm bed. I started sketching. Ok, now I can go back to sleep.

Today I finally had the time to start working on them. Still in my pajamas, with a big cup of cappuccino, I thought I might put on some Mariah Carey to get in the mood (but I didn't of course).

Here are some sketches and first drawings of what will be my mini christmas card collection. I think. I can still screw them up.... But if everything goes well, you can find them at Stoffer + Blik in a while (before christmas! I promise!)

New member to the stamp family

Owls seem to be popular little creatures. I sold two owl stamps already and made a custom order for someone who really wanted it, even though it was sold out (yes, you can too...just ask!). And while I was at it, I made another (different) one.

I have now added a new member to the stamp family. You may have seen it before, I used a similar stamp a while ago to stamp some sketchbooks. Now this little fellow, as a stamp, is for sale at Stoffer + Blik. See how long this one lasts...

Like the rest of the family it is hand carved and mounted on an old piece of wood. It leaves a beautiful print. Decorate anything you want. You can make labels, stamp it on gift wrapping paper, envelopes & letters. Even on fabric, making your own tote bag. Boring wallpaper? Go crazy!
